Junior Primary School Teacher(Grade 3)

St Charles College is looking to employ a suitably qualified Junior Primary School teacher commencing 1 January 2025. The College pursues its mission based upon core values and our staff are expected to have high levels of integrity and exercise sound judgement in line with the responsibility of educating boys.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Encouraging a positive learning environment
• Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
• Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil’s progress at parents’ evenings and other meetings
• Keeping up to date with curriculum changes and international education trends
• Organising and participating in school events, outings and activities including those on weekends or evenings
• Coaching sport in codes offered at St Charles College including rugby, cricket, hockey and/or swimming

Personal qualities:

  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to develop positive relationships with parents, learners and colleagues
  • A friendly, dynamic, creative and self-driven personality
  • An excellent work ethic
    The ideal candidate will have:
  • A suitable professional qualification and appropriate educational experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the Time2Read programme
  • Understanding of the needs of boys and their specific learning requirements
  • Sound administrative ability
  • Proficiency and creativity in using technology to enhance learning
  • An ability to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College and a willingness to participate in the broader life of the school
